ChatGPT Ads · AI answer visibility · Lead generation

Get chosen where buyers now ask for advice.

xgpt runs sponsored placements inside ChatGPT and builds the signals that help your business get recommended in its answers. Then we measure both, all the way to qualified leads.

  • Fixed fee. Media billed to you directly.
  • Accounts and data stay in your name.
  • Reported in leads and revenue, not just clicks.

Two routes into the same conversation

A buyer asks ChatGPT for a recommendation. You can show up in two places: in a labelled ad below the answer, or inside the answer itself. One is bought, the other is earned, so we run them as separate workstreams and report them side by side.

ChatGPT Ads

Put a clear offer in front of people while they are asking about your category.

An ad slot that follows the conversation, not the keyword

Ads in ChatGPT appear below the assistant's answer, marked as sponsored and kept visually separate from it. Instead of bidding on search terms, advertisers describe the situations and topics they want to be relevant to, and the platform matches ads to the conversation.

  • Shown to logged-in adults on the Free and Go plans. Paid plans such as Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise don't show ads.
  • OpenAI says ads don't change the answer, and advertisers see aggregate results, never individual conversations.
  • Not shown next to sensitive topics such as health, mental health or politics.
  • Bought through a self-serve Ads Manager in a growing list of countries.

Why test it now

The format is new and availability is still opening market by market. Early tests give you your own benchmarks to compare against as more advertisers arrive.

Availability depends on your market, your business registration and your category.

What we run for you

Six jobs, one fixed fee. The account is yours from day one.

Account and access

Ads Manager set up under your business, with billing, user roles and policy checks done before anything is submitted.

Tracking before spend

Conversion tag and server-side events installed and tested, so the first dollar you spend is already measured.

Context targeting

Plain-language descriptions of the conversations you want to appear in, built from your sales calls and customer wording rather than a keyword list.

Ads that fit the format

Short titles and descriptions written to the platform's character limits, with several variants per ad so they can be tested against each other.

Daily budget management

Bids, budgets and context checked every working day. Spend moves toward whatever produces qualified leads.

Plain-language reporting

Cost per click, cost per lead and lead quality every week, ending with a clear call: scale, adjust or stop.

A five-week launch sprint

A fixed path from no account to a decision based on your own numbers.

  1. Before launch

    Set up

Business verification, billing, tracking and landing page checks. Nothing spends until measurement works.

  2. Week 1

    Build

Three campaigns, each with its own context set and ad variants, matched to a landing page that continues the conversation.

  3. Weeks 2–4

    Run and refine

Daily reads. Weak variants paused, new context added, budget shifted toward qualified leads.

  4. Week 5

    Decide

A written readout: real cost per lead, lead quality from your CRM, and what scaling would take.

Timeline starts once access is granted and the ad account is approved by the platform.

Measured to revenue, not to clicks

Impressions and clicks show that an ad is being seen. They don't show whether it's worth paying for. We connect the platform's numbers to what happens in your CRM, and make scale decisions on qualified leads and cost per customer.

  • Platform signals: context match, impressions, clicks
  • Business outcomes: visits, qualified leads, revenue

Simple, fixed pricing

You pay us a flat fee for the work. You pay the platform for media, directly. We take no percentage of your spend.

What we commit to

  • Your business owns the ad account and all its data.
  • A straight "stop" recommendation if the numbers don't work.

What we won't promise

  • A cost per lead before we've seen your auction.
  • Results from impressions or clicks alone.
  • A placement inside the answer itself. That isn't for sale.

Is it a fit?

A good fit if

  • You already run paid search or paid social and track conversions.
  • Your business is registered in a market where self-serve ads are open.
  • You can state your offer in one sentence.
  • You're comfortable testing a channel before public benchmarks exist.

Not yet if

  • There's no conversion tracking or CRM in place.
  • Your category is restricted or not yet eligible.
  • Your sales cycle is longer than a test budget can wait.
  • You need published case studies before trying a channel.
Part 2 · Organic

Leads from ChatGPT

When buyers ask an assistant who to hire or what to buy, the answer names a handful of businesses. We work on making you one of them, and on turning that mention into pipeline you can measure.

How a business ends up in the answer

Assistants with web access assemble answers from sources they can find and trust: your own pages, review platforms, directories, comparison articles and discussion threads. Nobody can buy a place in the answer. What you can do is make accurate, consistent, well-supported information about your business easy to find and easy to cite.

  • Your pages are reachable by the crawlers AI search relies on, such as OpenAI's OAI-SearchBot.
  • Your offer, pricing model, locations and proof are stated in plain text, not hidden in images or scripts.
  • Third-party sources describe you the same way you describe yourself.
  • You appear for the specific questions buyers ask, not just for your brand name.

  1. A buyer asks a question.
  2. The assistant reads public sources.
  3. Businesses with clear, consistent, well-cited information are more likely to be named.

The questions that create buyers

We map the questions people ask in your category, market by market, and track whether you're named in the answers.

  • "Who's the best … for …?"
  • "[Your brand] vs [alternative]"
  • "How much does … cost?"
  • "What should I use if I have [constraint]?"
  • "Who offers … in [city or country]?"
  • "Is [brand] reliable?"
  • "Alternatives to [competitor]"

    Map demand

List the commercial questions buyers ask, the criteria they weigh and the words they use, for each market you sell in.

  2. 02

    Measure the baseline

Record where you're named, where competitors are, which sources get cited and what assistants get wrong about you.

  3. 03

    Fix the sources

Restructure key pages, add missing facts, open crawler access, and close gaps in third-party listings and reviews.

  4. 04

    Capture the demand

Build landing pages that match the questions, with short forms and tracking that keeps the referral source.

  5. 05

    Report monthly

Mention share, cited sources, answer accuracy, referral visits and leads, in one report.

Turn a mention into a lead

A recommendation only pays off if the visit converts. People arriving from an assistant already have context, so the page they land on should continue the conversation, not start it over.

Every landing page we ship has

  • The same claim the buyer just read
  • Proof on the page: sourced numbers, reviews, credentials
  • One next step, with five form fields or fewer
  • Referral source and UTM carried through to your CRM
  • Consent and conversion events tested on mobile
  • Public, fast, and reachable by AI search and ad crawlers

Where to start

Not every business should start in the same place. Here's how we usually decide.

Where to start, by situation
If this sounds like you We'd recommend
Clear offer, conversion tracking in place A visibility baseline and a paid pilot, side by side
You can't tell good leads from bad ones Fix lead tracking and CRM stages first
One generic page for every market Market-specific pages before any spend
Your category is restricted for ads Organic visibility now; revisit ads later
Low deal value or thin margins Model cost per customer before testing anything

What we don't do

  • Sell or promise placements inside AI answers. Nobody can.
  • Post fake reviews, planted forum comments or invented statistics.
  • Call it success when you're mentioned but no leads follow.
  • Track visitors without valid notice and consent.
  • Launch before your offer, site and tracking are ready.

Questions we get asked first

What are ChatGPT ads?

Sponsored placements shown below ChatGPT's answers, labelled as sponsored and kept separate from the answer. Advertisers describe the conversations they want to be relevant to rather than bidding on keywords.

Do ads change what ChatGPT recommends?

OpenAI says ads don't influence the answer, and advertisers don't see individual conversations. That's why we treat paid placements and organic recommendations as separate workstreams.

Who sees the ads, and where are they available?

Logged-in adults on the Free and Go plans, in markets where OpenAI has opened advertising. Availability is expanding country by country, so we confirm your market and category before any work starts.

What does it cost?

Our work is a fixed fee, quoted by email before any work starts: a five-week launch sprint, then a monthly fee if you continue. Media is billed to you by the platform, which sets minimum daily budgets that vary by market. We take no percentage of spend.

Can you guarantee my business gets recommended by ChatGPT?

No. Be wary of anyone who says they can. We improve the things assistants rely on (clear pages, crawler access, consistent third-party information) and report honestly on whether you're being named more often.

How is AI-answer visibility different from SEO?

It builds on SEO but is judged differently. Instead of rankings, we track whether you're named for buyer questions, which sources are cited, whether the answer describes you accurately, and how many visits and leads follow.

How soon will we see leads?

Paid tests usually produce data within the first weeks after account approval. Organic visibility moves more slowly; expect months, not weeks. We set expectations for both in our first email reply.

Who owns the accounts and the data?

You do. Ad accounts, tracking and analytics are set up under your business. If we stop working together, everything stays with you.

Do we need both halves?

Not always. Many teams start with one. The table in "Where to start" shows how we usually decide, and we'll tell you by email if one route isn't worth it for you yet.

Are you affiliated with OpenAI?

No. xgpt is an independent agency. We follow OpenAI's published advertising policies but don't speak for OpenAI.
